Speaker Opportunity
TEDxKids@BC is a first-of-its-kind conference in BC focusing on kids -- both as speakers, performers and in the audience, and there are also many youth on the organizational team. It will embody the TED mantra of "ideas worth spreading."
We continue to look for dynamic, passionate kids to speak at the event. Our focus is on finding speakers who are younger than 16 (however, we would never discount an amazing older speaker with a topic relevant to kids/youth, should you have one in mind!). Currently, we are looking for kids involved in science & technology, sports, and the arts to balance out those involved in youth philanthropy. Those who are interested can apply online at http://www.tedxkidsbc.com/speakers-apply/
The Speaker application deadline is coming up on Friday, July 15th, but please pass on to any interested kids that we're willing to be a bit flexible on that for those who have just heard about the event. If they do need some extra time, they can email us at speakers@tedxkidsbc.com and we can arrange an extension.
If you or any interested candidates have any questions at all about the process, the conference or what is expected of the speakers, please don't hesitate to contact our Speaker Selection Team at speakers@tedxkidsbc.com.
There are numerous other ways for young people to get involved with the event: we have a page on our website dedicated to this at http://www.tedxkidsbc.com/get-involved/. General questions can be directed to info@tedxkidsbc.com.
