When people think of independence, I often wonder if they
think of those who never have to ask for help with anything because they have
themselves so put-together that they don’t need any help for anything.
The
truth of the matter is that those people don’t really exist and anyone who
tries to live their life that way is probably going to struggle.
Yes,
independence in my mind is having the skills to do things on your own but the
biggest part of that is being able to ask those around you for help when you
need it to help accomplish whatever it is that you need to do.
Nobody gets by without help here and there,
the key is knowing when to ask.
