T-Shirt Design Contest

To all our creative youth out there... pay attention!

Pink Shirt Day is coming up again fast and there is a great opportunity to be a part of it and to speak out against bullying.

For those of you who don't know about Pink Shirt Day...
In 2007, two high school students in Nov Scotia did something heroic: they stood up to a bully. Even more amazing, they convinced their whole school to do it. They heard that a student was bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school so they went out and bought 50 pink t-shirts and distributed them to their friends for free. The next day, through coordination by text, virtually the whole entire student body was wearing pink.
In 2008, the last Wednesday in Februry was declared Pink Shirt Day in BC.

So here is where you need to get your creative side working!

Metropolis at Metrotown is recreating the sense of empowerment these two youth experienced and are offering the chance for you to feel it too! Participants can design a t-shirt that promotes the message of anti-bullying awareness. Each designer will have the opportunity to "share" his or her t-shirt design through Facebook, gaining votes for their design. The winning design will be produced on a t-shirt and sold t Metropolis at Metrotown from February 17th to February 29th (Pink Shirt Day!). All of the proceeds will be going towards Kids Help Phone.
